If your business is thriving, you probably don't even need to find out why in detail. Unless... you are inquisitive and don't settle for little - just like Rudolf Janis of SANITINO. His questions about the marginality of individual products led him logically to the data. And here begins our story, which has grown into a long and fruitful collaboration. Draw on it for yours. SANITINO is an e-shop that sells sanitary equipment in 10 European markets and is growing by tens of percent year-on-year. It offers over 345,000 products and boasts a robust ultra-fast international e-commerce platform. As it expanded into several different markets each year, it slowly began to lose track of its product portfolio. Together with a data analyst, he set 3 main goals:
In order to build bespoke reporting for the client, we analysed all data sources in detail and set out how we would work with them:
The client no longer has to search for data in several places: in the eshop database, Google Analytics or the company ERP system. It all flows to one place, the so-called data warehouse.
What's more, all data is visualised in a way that makes it easy to read and any report could be clicked up in literally seconds.
"Our marketing is partly handled by an external digital agency. We weren't able to generate several different reports for her every day so she could optimise marketing campaigns accordingly. By linking our marketing and ERP data in Power BI, we have streamlined our collaboration, and it shows in the results: our external marketers have aggregated and detailed reports at their fingertips, and with them, valuable feedback."
The introduction of tailored BI reporting has shown the company new growth opportunities. Financial and data analysts, team leaders and top management have gained a cutting-edge and simple tool with which they can implement strategic changes - eliminate inefficiencies, put an end to loss-making products or orders, optimise the way they work in the warehouse, or even identify changes in the market and react to them in a short time.
